Basic Program
No matter whether you are a beginner or advanced, a child or an adult, learning is progressive and fun. I teach mostly note reading but definintely incorporate playing by ear and sight reading. we set goals and strive to meet them.
Performance
As a member of the National Music Teachers and El Paso Music Teachers Associations, my students have the opportunity if they choose to participate in various competitions, festivals and recitals held throughout the year. Performance is an important aspect of playing an instrument so I want my students to have that opportunity whenever they like.
Composition
Students learning music now could be our future composers. I love teaching composition and using the latest software available for that purpose.
Theory
I also believe that an important aspect of enjoying music is to understand it. Therefore, music theory and history is an integral part of my lesson plan. Students who wish can also take a state theory test each year.
